[China Glass Network] Henan Province Refractory Industry Association was entrusted by the Provincial Science and Technology Department to undertake the preparation of the preliminary research project of the “13th Five-Year†New Materials Science and Technology Development Plan of Henan Province. In the near stage, with the support of various enterprise units, a preliminary draft of the plan was formed, and the goals and tasks of developing new refractory materials in Henan in the next few years were proposed. On September 9th, the first draft of the planning was exchanged at the conference room of Zhengda High-temperature Conference, and extensive opinions were sought. The meeting briefly introduced the development trend of Henan refractory industry and the foundation, advantages and existing problems of Henan refractory development, and put forward the overall ideas and development goals of developing new refractory materials in Henan in the next few years, focusing on the breakthrough of refractory materials in Henan before 2020. Refractory materials are inorganic non-metallic materials, which are indispensable important foundations and supporting materials for the development of high-temperature industries, national defense industry and new strategic industries. Henan refractory industry, like steel, building materials, non-ferrous and other high-temperature industries, has experienced a high-speed development stage, achieving both production and sales, and benefit growth. The annual output accounts for 48% of the national annual output, and has become the main production base of domestic refractory materials. However, the industry is large but not strong, and there are problems such as inadequate enterprise-based innovation system, low resource and energy utilization rate, low concentration, and insufficient global business capability. In the next few years, the growth rate of major downstream industries such as steel, building materials and non-ferrous metals will further slow down, and the demand will decline. The development focus is to adjust the industrial structure. Henan refractory materials will also be oriented around China's manufacturing 2025, high-temperature industrial structure adjustment and New technologies such as new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, enhance innovation capability, promote joint restructuring, improve industrial concentration and overall competitiveness, and focus on breaking through a number of key common technologies to develop a series of new refractory materials.
