With the development of bag dedusting technology and the increasing requirements for environmental protection, the range of application of bag filter is becoming more and more extensive. Bag filter can now be used to handle high temperature, high humidity, adhesion, explosion, and abrasive smoke. It even filters air containing ultra-fine dust.
1. High-temperature, high-humidity gases All kinds of industrial furnaces, dryers and other flue gas are high-temperature flue gas, most of which also contain a large amount of water and sulfur oxide gas. Bag filter can currently handle flue gas below 300°C. If this temperature is exceeded, the flue gas should be pre-cooled. Under special circumstances, high-temperature flue gas of 450-550°C can be directly treated with metal fiber filter. The use of bag filters to treat smoke from high-temperature kilns such as steam boilers, cement kilns, metallurgical furnaces, and incinerators has become increasingly common at home and abroad. Although the bag filter is limited by the temperature resistance of its filter material, it can handle high-temperature flue gas with a temperature of up to 1200 to 1400°C by proper treatment of the system flue gas.

Therefore, measures to destroy the above three conditions or certain conditions should be taken when purifying such gases. Simply speaking, it is to control the components, eliminate fire extinguishing species, eliminate static electricity, and ground the equipment; monitor explosion protection and extinguish explosion.
4. Corrosive gas In the flue gas purification system, there are two kinds of gases and dusts that have corrosive influence on the bag filter, such as sulfuric acid gas formed in the presence of sulfur molecules in coal and heavy oil fuels, or in contact with water. Will produce a variety of salt dust. Since the corrosion phenomena in the flue gas purification occur when the flue gas temperature is below the acid dew point, it is necessary to ensure that the system flue gas runs above the dew point temperature. The selection of filter media should be based on the characteristics of the corrosive substances produced by the flue gas and the use of appropriate filter media. It is important for bagged dust collectors for severely corrosive and demanding purification systems such as pharmaceutical, food, and carbon black production industries. Parts should be made of stainless steel or coated with anti-corrosion paint.
5. When the abrasive dust is used to treat abrasive dust such as alumina, silica, and sintered ore, the coarse particles in the dust and the air flow velocity in the bag filter are too high, resulting in the filter bag and the housing of the dust filter. Strong wear, for this purpose, measures should generally be taken from the reduction of the absolute amount of coarse dust in the flue gas and the reduction in the flow rate of the dust-laden gas, such as the pre-dusting device installed before the flue gas enters the bag filter. Strictly control the inlet velocity of the filter bag, and add abrasion resistant materials to the air inlet.
