We recently caught up with Flat S again. She had some exciting adventures since her last update. After heading west toward the continental divide, she visited the Knowles family in Colorado. Today, Mom Sandi Knowles is here to share Flat S's recent escapades. Flat S arrived in Windsor, Colorado right when things were heating up. It felt almost as if we’d planned it all for her. (Shh, don't tell her it was just a lucky coincidence!) She had the chance to participate in one of our Girl Scout Brownie troop meetings. The girls were thrilled to have her there. [Image description: Flat S posing with the Girl Scouts] Later, Flat S got to explore the Denver US Mint. Unfortunately, photography wasn’t allowed inside, but it was an unforgettable experience. [Image description: Flat S outside the US Mint] The wind was quite strong before we went in, making it challenging to get a good photo with the kids. [Image description: Flat S trying to pose amidst the wind] Thankfully, by the time we wrapped up the tour and hit the gift shop, the breeze had died down. [Image description: Flat S inside the gift shop] She also attended the Colorado Classic Horse Show where she learned about the art of farriery and how horseshoes are made. [Image description: Flat S observing a farrier at work] We took Flat S to the Downtown Aquarium in Denver, which was a real treat for everyone. We were invited to a special event that included dinner and access to the exhibits. Even though we didn’t spot the tigers during our visit, I highly recommend visiting if you’re ever in the area. [Image description: Flat S admiring the sea creatures] Since our yard is small and we don’t have other dogs to play with, we often head to the dog park with Waylon and Oliver. On this particular day, Flat S chose to stay safe in my bag while watching the chaos unfold. [Image description: Flat S staying cozy in the bag] After all the excitement, a nap on the couch was inevitable. (I think Flat S was already catching some Zs in the car.) [Image description: Flat S browsing the website] Flat S requested that I snap a shot of the view along our main road so you could see the Rockies from our neck of the woods. Unfortunately, the wind was too fierce for a proper photo, so she stayed in the car for this one. Springtime here is definitely breezy!
