In the "Top Ten Children's Clothing Brands in China" list released by the China National Garment Association, three of the top ten brands come from Zhejiang, highlighting the province's strong presence in the industry.
One of the key characteristics of Zhejiang’s children's clothing sector is its high concentration and cluster-based production model. Huzhou's Weaving Town has long held a leading position in domestic children's clothing manufacturing and was officially recognized as "China's Children's Clothing Town" by the China Textile Industry Association and the China National Garment Association back in 2002. Meanwhile, Tungpu Town started developing its knitted children's clothing industry later but has since experienced rapid growth, filling a gap in the provincial market.
Yongjia Zhu Qiao, known as the "First Village in Wenzhou's Children's Clothing," has successfully transitioned from a wholesale-based export model to a more modern trade-oriented system, leveraging the advantages of overseas Chinese communities in Wenzhou. This transformation has helped the village establish itself as a key player in the industry.
The development of industrial clusters not only promotes related industries like raw materials and equipment but also supports the growth of specialized children's clothing markets and other supporting sectors. This has laid a solid foundation for the next stage of development in Zhejiang's children's clothing industry.
With growing production advantages, the province has focused on brand building in recent years, continuously enhancing product quality, enterprise competitiveness, and overall industry strength. According to incomplete data, there are now over 3,000 registered brands in the province's children's clothing sector. The Sijiqing Children's Clothing Market in Hangzhou, one of the largest and most influential wholesale centers, combines wholesale, retail, franchise joining, ordering, display, and information exchange into one platform.
Additionally, the "Xintiandi" company has adopted an effective marketing strategy by attracting brands to join, solving the challenge of single brands entering large shopping malls and achieving a win-win situation among manufacturers, distributors, and franchisees. It has now become the earliest and largest brand hosting center in the region.
